COVID-19 Safety
On 28/03/2022, the AFL issued the Return to Training & Playing Protocols (protocols). The purpose of the protocols is to ensure the safety of players, spectators and officials - while returning to community footy in accordance with government restrictions.
The junior footy program’s return to full contact training and full contact competition is subject to the following limitations specified in the protocols and conditional on all participants (spectators, players and officials) strictly adhering to the protocols.
The club has appointed our secretary to act as our COVID Safety Officer. The COVID Safety Officer’s role is to sure all participants are aware of the protocols, that the club is adhering to the protocols and take immediate steps to correct any breaches. The COVID Safety Officer is also the contact point for any questions relating to the protocols. If you have any queries, questions, concerns or compliments, please contact our secretary.
The club cannot emphasise enough the importance for all participants to respect the protocols, as they reflect the government’s restrictions - and harsh sanctions may be imposed on clubs and individuals in breach.
